By now you have most likely stopped progressing towards your fitness resolutions for the year.
Well it’s time to bounce back… I’m going to show how to make a comeback and get back rolling towards your fitness goals.
Step 1: Pinpoint where you failed
- Exercise
- Nutrition
- Both
Step 2: Ask yourself why you failed
- No plan
- No accountability
- Lack of drive
- All of the above
Step 3: Take action on preventing that failure again
- Have a plan for both nutrition and exercise.
- Have an accountability partner to make sure you’re consistent with your workouts.
Step 4: Repeat
- You’re going to fail again. Know that and don’t beat yourself up about it.
- Pinpoint, ask why, take action to prevent it again.
Cycling through the above steps will ensure you’re keeping consistent and on track AS LONG AS YOU’RE STILL DOING THE WORK!
What you might be missing
Remember the road to your goals will not be perfect. Ups and downs happen to even the most fit people on earth. The difference between them and people who fall off and don’t get back up is that they have an emotional attachment to what it means for them to be fit. Without this one thing, the emotional attachment to a goal, you will not succeed at achieving it. Always think of what it means for you to achieve your goal.
Do you want:
- People to look up to you
- To avoid people looking down at you
- Provide a good example to your kids
- Be attractive to find your significant other
- Etc.…
